Subject: Animals.(Form 1)

Purpose: to show the level of knowledge and skills of students on the topic "Animals."

 Equipment: handouts for working in groups, flashcards, multimedia board, computer, the ABC – poster.

Lesson plan

І. Greeting.

T: Stand up, please. Hello, children.

Ps: Hello, teacher!

T: Sit down, please. Boys and girls, do you remember our song?

Ps: Yes!

T: Ok, let’s sing a song.

T: Well done!  And now children the next task: “Draw your mood”.

II. Aim:

T: Children today we’re going to speak about animals and revise the ABC. By the end of the lesson you will be able to describe the animals, answer the questions (What is this? It is a/ an…. Is it …? Yes, it is. / No, it is not.) and name the ABC.

III. Warming up:

T: Look at the blackboard. What can you see? (на дошці плакат з англійською абеткою) (T – Cl, P1, P2)

Ps: Учні називають букви алфавіту, пригадують слова, які починаються на ту чи іншу літеру.

IV. The main part of the lesson.

T: Dear children, tell me please, what animals do you know?

(учні відповідають.)

 T: Answer the question: What is this? It is a/ an…. Is it …? Yes, it is. / No, it is not.

(Робота з картками, вчитель показує зображення і задає питання, а учні відповідають.)

T: Boys and girls, do you want to play?

Ps: Yes!

T: But at first, I want to divide you into three groups.

(Teacher divides the class into three groups and explains the rules.)

Task 1: “Puzzles”.

Склади пазли та відгадай тварину.

Task 2: «Funny Animals»  

Each group must make the rivals laugh. Children pronounce sentences « I am a cat.  I am a hamster. » and show the animal. Who has laughed, leaves the game. The winner remains alone.

Цілі:

1.     Повторити та активізувати вивчені ЛО та граматичний матеріал (ступені порівняння одно – та двоскладових прикметників).

2.     Ознайомити з новими ЛО та граматикою (ступені порівняння багатоскладових прикметників).

3.     Навчати читанню, письму та усному мовленню.

4.     Формувати правильну вимову.

Обладнання: підручник, робочий зошит, картки з завданням, картинки та презентація.

Хід уроку:

Th: Good morning, boys and girls. Nice to see you today. Sit down please. How are you? What is the day today? What is the weather like today?

The topic of our lesson is “Doing shopping”. Today we’ll learn some new words and rules on the topic. Do you like shopping? Сьогодні на нашому уроці ми з вами повторимо вже вивчений матеріал, а також познайомимося з новим лексичним та граматичним матеріалом. На кінець уроку ви навчитесь утворювати вищий та найвищий ступені порівняння багатоскладових прикметників та закріпимо лексичний матеріал.

Th: Let’s brush up the words. Translate into English.

Dictation.

Th: Match the products with their shops. Where can we buy a soap? Where do they sell oranges? You can buy it at the chemist’s. / You can buy them at the greengrocery.

На минулому уроці ми з вами розглядали ступені порівняння одно – та двоскладових прикметників. Які ступені порівняння прикметників ви знаєте? Як вони утворюються?
